Why I’m Passionate About Unifying Patients and Research:
My passion for unifying patients and research stems from my role as a Clinical Research Coordinator at research sites and hospitals. While connecting with research patients, I recognized the enormous potential collaboration between patients and research has to drive progress in healthcare.
April Hatley has over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical, clinical research, and human research protection fields and over 10 years of experience in quality assurance. She held roles at Schulman IRB and Advarra where she worked on regulatory inspections and client audits, designed and implemented a quality program conducting internal quality audits, earned multiple AAHRPP reaccreditations, assisted with document management, and maintained employee training records. Prior to Schulman and Advarra, April was a clinical research coordinator for women’s health and oncology studies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University.
